From Honeybees to Pepperwood - Creative Lao Cooking with Friends

The waiting is finally over and all at Friends-International are delighted to announce the publication of our much anticipated new cookbook From Honeybees to Pepperwood – Creative Lao Cooking with Friends. This latest addition to the award-winning series of Friends cookbooks turns the focus onto Makphet, our internationally recognized restaurant in Vientiane City, Laos.

Our team of students and teachers visited seven provinces and traveled nearly 3,000 kilometers collecting recipes for the book, including visits to four ethnic tribes to ensure that the true taste of Lao culture was reflected in the contents.



Proceeds from the sale of cookbooks go back into projects for street children. Our cookbooks are available at the following locations:
